Review A Las Vegas Vacation |

During your descent into Las Vegas International Airport, you’ll gaze in awe at the city’s seemingly larger then life icons that include a replica of the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, a giant golden lion, the Luxor pyramid, and all the glittering casinos along the strip. Las Vegas has changed much since the olden days. Though, many of the original casinos such as the Lady Luck still exist along the now famous Fremont Street, which is now partially enclosed along with the picture-perfect waving cowboy. Still there are just as many ways to lose your money and even more ways to spend your winnings. A visit to Sin City wouldn’t be complete without taking in one of the world-renowned Las Vegas shows. Slot machines can be found almost everywhere, as can all-you-can-eat buffets, even in the airport. And if blackjack is your game, you’ll have no problem finding a table. Despite Las Vegas’ reincarnation into Disneyland for adults, the city still maintains its live and let live attitude. The walkways along the strip are covered with flyers promoting gentlemen’s clubs; cigarette smoking as well as drinking is permitted all around the city. It’s almost comical that one of the city’s popular sayings is “what happens in Las Vegas...stays in Las Vegas”. Though this may be of some comfort to those who choose to get a little out of hand while on vacation in Sin City. It has been a myth for some time that the casinos pump oxygen through the ventilation so that their patrons will have more energy to gamble longer. Las Vegas’ constant commotions, almost blinding lights, and go-go attitude may over load the senses but as the saying goes...“that’s entertainment”. |
