Review A Greek Islands Vacation |

The Greek
Islands are home to Kings, Saints, gods, and one of the
seven wonders of the ancient world. With about 1400 islands
spread across the Aegean and Ionian Seas, it would take you
many years to see every breathtaking coastline. The
islands are divided into seven sections; the Cyclades, the
Ionian islands, the Dodecanese, the island of Crete, the
Saronic islands, the Sporades, and the Eastern Aegean
islands. Some of the most notable islands, and for
good reason, are Mykonos,
Santorini, Rhodes, Crete and Patmos. Each boasts
centuries of rich history and landscapes draped in sunlight.
However, you will notice that each possesses distinct
characteristics and monumental “must see” attractions that
will fill your mind with both fact and fiction. High
hills and mountains often make for interesting donkey rides
and the
perfect scenery for a picture. In addition to their
beauty, the Greek islands have helped to pave the way for
western civilization by fostering some of the greatest minds
in history, such as Hippocrates, the father of medicine, and
St John, author of the Book of Revelation. Many types
of travelers, from the history aficionado to the adventurous
backpacker to the beach bum in search of rest and
relaxation, will enjoy what these islands have to offer.
Copenhagen’s unique blend of old-world charm, urban sophistication, and enchanting accents leave little to be desired and make for a perfect get-a-way. |
